01 Getting Started

What exactly is MNIKS Circle?

MNIKS Circle is a curated multi-brand retail hub based in Surulere, Lagos. Think of us as your brand’s physical home — a beautifully presented retail space where your products live, get sold, and reach customers who are already walking through the door ready to buy. You keep creating; we handle the floor.

Who can apply to stock at the Hub?

Any African or African-affiliated designer, brand, or creative business with products that align with our retail environment and values. We’re open to clothing, fashion brands, jewelry, ready-to-wear, accessories, lifestyle, and beauty — as long as your products are original, legally compliant, and display-ready. We curate carefully, so each brand on our floor is intentional.

How can I apply?

Fill this form to start the conversation. Once we’ve reviewed your brand and confirmed a good fit, we’ll walk you through onboarding — which includes signing your Designer Participation Agreement and completing your first Inventory Intake.

Is there a long-term commitment? Can I leave?

No lock-in. The agreement runs on a monthly rolling basis, and either party can end it with 30 days’ written notice. We want designers here because it’s working for them — not because the contract won’t let them leave.

That said, we do have the right to end the agreement immediately (with no refund) if a designer engages in fraudulent conduct, fails to pay fees, or causes reputational harm to the Hub. We keep it clean on both sides.

Can I stock at MNIKS Circle and sell elsewhere at the same time?

Absolutely. This is a non-exclusive arrangement. Your online store, your pop-ups, your other stockists — all still yours. We’re one channel in your ecosystem, not a gatekeeper.

What do I need to bring on my first day?

Your products, display-ready. That means: pressed, labelled, priced, and packaged. You’ll also want to bring enough branded packaging (bags, boxes, tissue, tags) to cover initial sales — we don’t supply those. Our team will log everything on the Inventory Intake Sheet together with you, and once it’s signed by both sides, your store is officially open.

02 Fees & What's Included

What does it cost to stock at MNIKS Circle?

There are two fees:

Onboarding Fee – ₦15,000 (one-time)
Rack/Display Space Rent – ₦35,000/month (your dedicated display space + operations, sales processing, reporting, basic alterations)

*All fees are due in advance at the start of each rental period.

What does the Service Fee actually cover?

The monthly Service Fee covers:

Processing all your in-hub sales
Basic merchandising to keep your display looking sharp
Content Creation, Marketing and Promoting your products – online and offline
Weekly inventory audits
Weekly sales summaries with payout breakdowns
Minor alterations for customers (simple hemming, small fixes — needle-and-thread level only)
Packaging your orders using your branded materials

Not included: Delivery and courier fees, additional branding services, complex alterations, or Hub packaging if your own runs out. These are billed separately with your approval.

Are fees refundable?

Once a rental period has started, fees are non-refundable — except if the Hub terminates your agreement without cause (in which case, that’s on us). Any refund request must be submitted in writing, and we’ll review it in good faith.

Can I get charged for anything without approving it first?

Almost never. Any additional service — beyond what the Service Fee covers — must be agreed in writing via email before we proceed, with at least 75% of the cost deposited upfront. The only exception is something genuinely unavoidable (like using our packaging because yours ran out mid-order), where we’ll notify you in writing immediately. We won’t deduct anything that wasn’t pre-approved.

Do I need insurance?

We strongly encourage it. The Hub maintains general premises insurance, but we don’t insure individual designer stock. Events like theft, fire, or courier loss are real — and while we take every precaution, we can only cover what the agreement expressly covers. Having your own cover gives you peace of mind and protects your business properly.

03 Inventory Management

How does the Hub track my stock?

Every item that comes through the door gets logged on our cloud-based Inventory Intake Sheet — item name, SKU, colour, size, quantity, condition, retail price, and any special handling notes. Both you (or your rep) and a member of our team sign the sheet at intake. That signed record is the official reference for everything: disputes, audits, payouts, claims. It’s your protection and ours.

How do I know what's selling and what's left?

We conduct physical stock audits weekly and send you a written report by email. You’ll also receive weekly sales summaries showing exactly what moved, at what price, with all fees and your net payout clearly broken down. If anything looks off, you have 7 business days from receiving the report to flag it in writing.

How much stock should I keep on display?

We require a minimum of 7 active SKUs and a maximum of 10 SKUs on display at any time. If your stock drops below 7 for more than 14 consecutive days without you letting us know in writing, we reserve the right to reassign your display space. Keep us posted — a quick email is all it takes.

What if something goes missing or gets damaged?

Report it in writing within 7 days of receiving the audit or sales report that shows the discrepancy. The Hub’s liability is limited to items on your signed Intake Sheet — and capped at either the declared retail value of the affected item(s) or the total fees you’ve paid us in the past 3 months, whichever is lower.

This is exactly why we recommend independent insurance for your inventory.

Who controls my pricing and display?

You do. Pricing decisions are yours — though we may flag it if we believe a price is significantly out of step with the market, and ask you to review before display. The final call is always yours. Price changes need at least 48 hours’ written notice via email so our team can update the system before a sale goes through at the wrong price.

What happens to my stock if I leave?

You have 14 calendar days after termination to collect your unsold inventory. We’ll remind you between days 10 and 14. After that, storage fees apply. If stock is still uncollected 30 days post-termination (and we’ve made multiple documented attempts to reach you), we may donate, dispose of, or sell the items at our discretion. Any sale proceeds go toward outstanding storage fees first — any surplus is returned to you.

04 Sales & Payouts

How and when do I get paid?

You choose your payout schedule at onboarding:

Weekly — processed every Monday for the prior week’s sales
Monthly — processed on the 1st of each month for the prior month’s sales

You can switch with 14 days’ written notice by email.

Net Payout = Total Sales − Rack Rent − Service Fee − Any Pre-approved Additional Fees − Any Outstanding Arrears

Does MNIKS Circle take a commission on sales?

No commission. We operate on a flat-fee model — your rack rent and service fee cover everything. The more you sell, the better your return on the flat fee.

What if I disagree with a sales report or payout?

You have 7 calendar days from receiving a report to raise a dispute in writing via email. Reference the item description, SKU, and quantity in your message. We’ll review it and apply any correction in the following payout cycle. Disputes raised after the 7-day window won’t be eligible for adjustment unless there’s a reasonable cause for the delay.

What about returns? Do they come out of my payout?

We absorb the cost of your first return — up to NGN 5,000 for local orders, NGN 10,000 for international. Any return costs above those thresholds, are the designer’s responsibility. Returns due to product defects or misrepresentation are always on the designer. We verify all returns before absorbing any cost.

What are the rules around communication and approvals?

Everything binding — approvals, fee sign-offs, price changes, payout schedule changes, dispute submissions — must be done via email. WhatsApp and verbal instructions don’t count as formal written approval under our agreement unless confirmed by email. This keeps the paper trail clean for both of us.

Can MNIKS Circle use photos of my products for marketing?

Yes — and we will, because good content helps everyone. We photograph, film, and create marketing content featuring your products to promote your brand, your products, and the Hub. You retain full ownership of your brand and original creative assets. Any content we create is ours for marketing purposes, but we won’t license it to third parties without your consent. You are welcome to reuse our content for your own promotion — just credit us as the creator where appropriate.
